Hello folks, lots of stuff is going on in Nashville.
I finally played the Grand Ol' Opry a
few times with Carlene Carter and the band.
I have been involved in an original production of this play
involving the life of June Carter and the Carter Family. Wildwood Flowers appears six nights a week
at the BellSouth Acuff Theatre. This play
will be running through July and maybe August and is full
of music and humor.
Mark Winchester, Mark Horn and I are the band or "ensemble"
and are having the time of our lives. I even play Faron
Young in one comedy bit. Carlene plays her Mom June and
Lorrie plays her Mom Anita Carter, with a stellar cast to
boot.
A gracious thanks to Lorrie and Herb for their hospitality
and letting me play Mother Maybell's Stromberg and "Uncle John's" (Johnny Cash) Martin...!
Vince Gill Presented a lifetime achievement Grammy to Carlene
on opening night for her family. What a moment!
Also I have offcially joined the Brazilbilly band and am playing Roberts Thursday - Sunday (Sunday with
my guys Mark Horn and Mark Winchester) Thursday with Dave
Tanner's band.
Thanks for the CD sales to all.
And Thanks to Gibson Guitars for the Chet
Atkins axe. I love it.
Gotta Go!
